When Pigs Fly
Clarence, our flying pig is all about spreading joy. Of course, you have no other choice when you’re a swine with winged appendages. People just tend to smile when you come into view. And our Clarence...well, he just loves the attention.
You see, where he comes from, flying pigs are a dime a dozen. But, around these parts, they turn heads and command attention. And Clarence eats it up. He may be a boar, but our Clarence is no bore! Unlike most pigs, he goes full tilt into every holiday and special occasion, so don't be surprised when you see him decked out in festive attire at any given moment that a calls for a celebration.
When Clarence crossed paths with Kary “Pete” Watson, it was love at first site. We are talking about a true magical moment. As a little girl, Kary always had a soft spot for pigs. And years later, she found inspiration from this special winged friend to give flight to her dreams of creating a special store, filled with carefully curated, handcrafted gifts and treasures.
So it only stands to reason that a flying pig would serve as our mascot here at Pete & Pop’s Findery. And we're just tickled that sweet Clarence has found a place where he can finally be himself....not matter what the season. We all look forward to seeing you soon.
The Origin Of Pete & Pop's
When our trend curator Kary Watson, affectionately known as Pete by her family, was young, she and her dad went on all sorts of adventures. Those special moments developed Kary’s love of unique and artisanal treasures, and the stories they tell. She looks forward to sharing these with you and continuing the spirit of discovery that began with a little girl and her Pop.
